The Davao City Economic Enterprise (CEE) has successfully surpassed its 2024 collection target, achieving a remarkable income of P211,473,170.76, exceeding the goal of P211,020,000. This accomplishment represents a significant increase from its 2023 collection of P200,479,369.86, signaling strong growth for the city’s economic initiatives.
Economic Enterprise Manager Maximo Macalipes Jr. shared the news during an interview on the Madayaw Program, aired on Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR). He expressed pride in reaching more than 100% of the income target set by the local finance committee, describing the performance as excellent.
A major contributor to the increased collection came from the city’s market operations, which alone generated P136,553,950.27. Additionally, income from the city’s cemetery operations, slaughterhouses, and other income-generating projects played key roles in the success.
Macalipes credited the strong partnerships with various agencies and the unwavering support of top city officials for ensuring the effective implementation of the CEE’s programs. “We also felt the support of Mayor Baste Duterte and City Administrator Atty. Francis Mark Layog, which was instrumental in our success,” he added.
Macalipes also extended his gratitude to the public for their continued and consistent support of the city’s economic initiatives. The significant achievement reflects a commitment to efficient and effective management of the city’s resources, contributing to the growth and development of Davao City.
